Embarking on your University journey is both exciting and challenging. It's a time to grow, learn, and shape your future. However, there are some common pitfalls that can derail your path to a successful career. In this guide, we'll explore 9 critical mistakes to avoid, from choosing the wrong friends to neglecting crucial skills and opportunities. Let's set you on the right course for a prosperous future.
1. Instead of making friends with productive mindset classmates/batchmates, make friends with people who have no career plans or thoughts.
2. "He knows a lot, I know nothing" - wrap yourself in the thought.
3. Not being involved in programming club activities. Staying focused only on academic studies.
4. Not getting to know and having good relations with faculty, seniors (who are doing well), alumni.
5. Not having a career plan. However, after listening to 14 different words of 14 people around, getting out of track.
6. When you start learning something, don't finish it.
7. Not being a solo player. Don't build up the mindset of doing any group assignment alone. Dependence on others.
8. Not giving time to problem solving skills and logical thinking development. Think of Data Structures & Algorithms as just a university course.
9. Dreaming of earning lakhs by doing 3-4 months development course.
There are many other mistakes, which we often make. I shared the major mistakes.
